Leak Point Pressure testing is part of the evaluation of the STORAGE PHASE of the micturition cycle. Leak point information is obtained either by having the patient cough or valsalva.

• It is relatively impossible to obtain an accurate leak point pressure during cough, without the benefit of videourodynamics.
• The method of leak testing that most readily lends itself to providing good leak pressure information utilizes Valsalva instead of cough, the Valsalva Leak Point Pressure test.
